By accessing and using Papyrus (“the Platform”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

Papyrus is a reading and writing platform that allows users to:

• Discover and read stories created by other users
• Create and publish original written content
• Interact with other users through comments and follows
• Build a personal library of favorite stories

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You retain ownership of content you create and publish on Papyrus. However, by posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

You agree not to post content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Is obscene, defamatory, or illegal
• Contains spam, malware, or phishing attempts
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations

The Platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Papyrus and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operations
• Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without permission
• Create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Papyrus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
